Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to reach those around us for the cause of Christ and build them up as disciples of Him so that together we can be a healthy, Biblical community.

Chet Martin, Senior Pastor

As the primary teaching pastor, Pastor Chet has a passion for carefully unpacking the truth of Scripture. Pastor Chet is an avid football fan and wears the Vikings’ ‘purple and gold’ proudly! Before serving at Light & Life, Pastor Chet was the Senior Pastor at churches in Griffith and Columbus Indiana. He also served as the Superintendent of the Wabash Conference. He and his wife, Dawn, have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

 Deana Hayes, Children’s Pastor

Pastor Deana describes herself as a ‘daughter of the King, wife, mother and grandmother.’ She enjoys the sounds of the ocean, mountains, cruising, hiking, sports, story-telling, white chocolate mocha’s (skinny, no whip) and loving on kids and their parents while serving at the same church for over 10 years.

Jeremy Lefler, Youth and Young Adult Pastor

Jeremy is a third generation pastor with his Father, Grandfather and Uncle all being pastors. He is a Conference Ministerial Candidate of the Wabash conference of the Free Methodist Church. He has several years of experience in youth and young adult ministry starting with being a staff camp counselor and camp director. He has coached high school baseball at Kokomo High and Noblesville High. Jeremy is passionate and greatly enjoys working with youth. He is excited about all the ways that God can use the young people of this church and community. Jeremy met his wife, Sara, at youth group in Kokomo, Indiana. Sara is a senior at Indiana Wesleyan University, studying music education.  Jeremy enjoys playing all kinds of games including (but not limited to): tennis, softball/baseball, disc golf, video games (XBOX 360 gamertag: saremy718), board games and ping pong.  Jeremy enjoys reading, writing, singing, playing the piano and having Starbucks with friends.
